As long as I can remember I have been on a quest to capture the "shape shifter" that is water in my art. Water's eternal movement and the play of light on its surface combine to create an artistic challenge beyond measure. This creative obsession started in early childhood where most of my family's free time was spent either in the water, on it in boats fishing, or just watching the ocean on the east end of Long Island, New York and in Fort Meyers Beach, Florida. By combining hand and air brushed acrylic layers I strive to achieve water images that have a sense of movement and distinctive color. - Patricia Conner Adams
