I have been a practicing professional artist since finishing my formal education at Cal State University at Fullerton in 1966, completing my master's thesis on ceramic shell molding (then unknown to artists), and where I helped build one of the first art foundries on the West Coast.
I was honored to be asked to assist Felix DeWelden, sculptor of the famed Washington D.C. Iwo Jima Memorial, in his latest works, and was commissioned to paint a mural for Jimi Hendrix' Electric Lady Recording Studio in Greenwich Village, New York City in 1970, transforming the interior of the building into a futuristic sci-fi spacecraft with giant portals inviting visitors to explore outer space. Thirty-five years later, the 100-foot long painting is considered the "prime example of sixties mural work," according to Juxtapose Magazine. Presently, my retro-sci-fi imagery has evolved far beyond that which I completed for Electric Lady Studio and I am now offering the most astounding 5th dimensional painting in vivid polyurethane.
I have been showing and selling my limited edition figurative sculptures in galleries throughout the United States for many years. I also offer imagery in the newly revived technique of pate de verre cast glass, and specialize in commissions of all sizes, including architectural facades, sculpted fountains, paintings, figurative sculpted bronzes, murals, marble, tile, and glass mosaics. My command of a broad variety of materials and processes make it possible for me to fill any decorative need.
