Artist Bio:
An Artist since childhood, Anne was privileged to receive advanced instruction from a young age under college instructors while attending the Louisiana School for Math Science and the Arts, a boarding school for gifted young people. She focused in Painting and Monotypes, and continued her studies at various Ateliers in Paris for two years after graduation. Anne completed many commissioned works there, including 5 paintings for a French art-heist movie called Les Oreilles Sur Le Dos. Back in the US, Anne founded an Art Colony in Donaldsonville, Louisiana while she earned her degree in philosophy, which hosted painters, musicians, film-makers and writers. In addition to her studio- work, Anne designs furniture and creates site-specific artwork for Aaron R Thomas Design in Orange County, CA, including a wallpaper print for Mulberry Stores nationwide and furniture embellished with a patina like finish which she invented. She also creates short films and books. Anne is currently working on her “Boudoir Series” Assemblages: Sensual Nude sketches which take on a sculptural presence when mounted inside of acrylic shadow boxes with exotic fabrics and found objects.
